Watch Deals

So, my Ann Klein watch went ca-put.  I have been seeing these new silicone watches that I love.  The first one I saw was this Fossil one:

I LOVED it immediately.  Only problem was that it was $95.  OUCH!  I just can't make myself pay that much no matter how much I want it.  When I saw how much it was, I pouted.  I really wanted it.

Then a few days later at one of Baylee's softball practices I noticed one of the moms with a similar watch....only in gray.  It wasn't exactly like the Fossil watch but pretty dang close.  It was from Sam Moon.

And the best part......it was $9.95.  YEP!  You heard that right.  I ended up getting the black one and a white one and still saved myself $75.  How great is that?  So that is my deal of the week!  Thought I would share!

eBay SCORE!!

It has been a VERY long time since I have utilized eBay's auction listings.   I have purchased some things with the "Buy It Now" auction but no "live" auctions.  Today, that changed.  I forgot how fun it is to wait until the last few seconds to place your bid and hold your breath to see if you won.  Thankfully the breath holding paid off and my trigger finger for live auctions still worked.  I scored a great wallet to go with this great backpack!

I recently purchased one of Vera Bradley's Lylas laminated backpacks in this print:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!  This is my softball bag and it goes with me to every single tournament.  You can just wipe it off if it gets dirty.

Well, I decided that I wanted a laminated wallet to go with it.  The imperial toile Frill collection must be being discontinued because I could not find a wallet in this print/collection that didn't cost a small fortune.  However, I did find something in a similar colorway. I did not want to pay $40 (with shipping) to get it.

This is what I found:

The color scheme for the wallet does not match my bag perfectly, but it will work.  And the best thing...I scored this brand new wallet for $23.00 which included shipping.  A savings of $17.00.  So now, I am ready for Fall softball!

Anyone score anything good lately?

Mail and a Shopping Spree with Some FABULOUS Finds (cheap too!)

I love mail.  I have since I was young.  Even though bills and junk come in the mail, I still love it!  So I am one of those people that happily checks my mail everyday (rain or shine).

I finally got my new MOO cards in the mail.  I updated my cards with pictures of some new products.  I love how they turned out.

(click on pictures to make them larger)

So if you purchase something from Priddy Creations, you will have at least one of these really cool cards in your package.  :D  Keep 'em or pass them on!

Another thing I love.....fabric giveaways.  Like the one Traci of Hip Fabric hosted on her blog.

And guess what?  I actually won!  So excited to make something with these gorgeous fabrics.

And look what else I got in the mail recently.....a fabulous business card holder by cpcreations4you.

Love it!!

A lot of people ask me why I purchase items that I can make myself.  There are two reasons......1) Because sometimes I just don't want to sew for myself (it is nice to splurge once in a while) and 2) Because I like to support other handmade and work at home sellers, designers and moms.  I think it is important to support this industry of extremely talented and hard working women.

Another thing I love......super great deals!!  I found LOTS of these on my shopping trip/girls' day out with my sister.

I got this little porcelain flower statue at Hobby Lobby for 1/2 off.  Regular price was $4.99 so I basically got this for under $3.00.  Not bad for a little ray of sunshine in my sewing room.  It looks great!

And check out these great supplies!  I got these at Michael's for $1-2 each.  WHAT?  Yep!!  They had a whole aisle of stuff $5.00 and under.

The little checkered book is various sized post-its.

How cool is that?  You can throw it in your purse if you want.

And check out these......

My office is done in red, white and black so the item on the left is perfect for it.  It is a notepad with a faux, pebble grain finish.  $5.00 for a TON of pages.  However, I will admit that I have yet to write in it.  It is still a little too new.  I promise I will get over it though and it will get used. I am kind of OCD like that with new stuff.

The luggage tag was a $1.00 and is now residing on my pitching bucket for softball (see....I can get over my quirks sometimes).  There are at least 2 other parents on Baylee's softball team that have the same exact bucket and we are always trying to figure out which ones belong to who.  So this will help out tremendously.

Now these purchases were not part of the "cheap deal" but I did have coupons for a little discount.  :)  I love the top fabric and can't wait to create something with it!!  And nope.......the tulle will NOT be used on any of my products.  :D  Just in case you were wondering.  It is part of my packaging.

I do have some brand spankin' new designs I am itching to work on so hopefully you will see some sneaks of those soon.

Anyone find any good deals lately?

Furniture Find

So I was browsing some blogs last week and came across this post about a beautiful dining room table and hutch that someone had purchased at craigslist.com for a steal. I decided to take a peek and see what we had in our area. I love antique furniture and am not afraid of items that need some TLC. Well, lo and behold this is what I found. The pieces are in EXCELLENT conditions body wise. Even the fabrics aren't that bad for pieces that are this old. They will need to be recovered and some of the springs replaced on the chair but overall, these pieces are beautiful. And best of all, they are a matching set! Check out the detailed roses on the loveseat and chair. I got all three of these pieces for a steal.......$175. WHAT?? Yep! I ALMOST felt bad for taking them for so little. Funny story on that......the couple we bought them from, come to find out, were good friends of Troy's parents. Small world. My plan for this set is to put them in my new sewing room (if we ever sell this house and build). For now, they are happy in my sunroom.

Love the shape of this chair and the tufted back. The stain is a rich mahogany. More brown than cherry.

The beautiful ornate rose on both pieces.

The loveseat.

The table. This table does not have ONE scratch on it.
