First Days of School

Well, my crew is all back to school. Baylee started yesterday and Mollee and Ethan started today. Can you tell Baylee is my tomboy? This was her idea of getting "dressed up." LOL! I can't even get her to LOOK at anything boutique without a grimace (unless it has denim in it). Thank goodness Mollee still loves boutique stuff. Now......please make sure you take a good look at Ethan's expressions. He was EXTREMELY excited to be going to school. He has the same teacher that my girls had and he is very familiar with her and her classroom. So when I finally downloaded the pics, I was surprised to see his expression. Maybe it was just butterflies?? Mollee, on the other hand, did not want to take the time for me to get any pictures in her classroom. As soon as she walked into her classroom, she was a woman on a mission. Completely focused on getting down to business. Baylee wouldn't even let us walk her to class much less get any pics. So pics of the kids (except for Ethan) in front of the garage before leaving was all I was getting for this year. :(



Baylee is super excited to be heading back to school. I have told her a gazillion times that tennis don't go with capris. LOL! She doesn't care. I guess that is good that she doesn't care what other people think but still...........

Some goofy kids I got there. Karen (brecki*girl) made Mollee's fabulous top. I started a matching decoupage skirt to go with it but when my sewing machine went ca-put, I wasn't quite done with it. :( So, she will have to wear that later. Thanks Karen! :)

Heyyyyy Yooouuuuuuu Guuuyyyyyyys!!!

So I have had a few requests for custom straps for the guys. Most have been pretty specific and I wanted to get some input from all of the fellows as to fabric choices that would work for your style/business. I definitely don't want to leave you out because guys can definitely be stylish and professional at the same time. But, instead of me picking fabrics that I like, I would love to hear some suggestions from you as to what kind of straps you would use on your cameras. So ladies, ask your husbands and fellow guy photographers and help me get some input. I may even be tempted to give away a free strap for the guys!! :)

I am excited to be designing with Erin McMorris' Park Slope line again! It is a fun and fresh line of fabric that is sure to please. I have just listed three great pieces that all coordinate. Even something a little new with all of your photographers in mind. I have personalied my wristlet to include pockets to hold all of those necessities that would be needed for photo shoots (lens caps, batteries, CF cards, etc....). Of course these pockets would also work well for cell phones, keys, lipstick, you name it. Perfect for fun and play. And because I know how important it is for you to coordinate and have a fresh and fun professional appearance, I have also listed a custom listing for a matching Park Slope removable camera strap. I have also brought back my funky Park Slope bag to finish off the ensemble. A must have!! :)

A New Book

I love to read. It is one of my favorite pasttimes that gives me extreme pleasure and relaxes me. It is something I do every night before bed to unwind. I have been reading and seeing reviews about the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer. I read a wide array of books (fiction, non-fiction, crime, romance, comedies....you get the picture). I especially love series books so I decided to pick this one up. I really hate a book ending. Even if the ending is fantastic, it always makes me sad when a good book ends. This particular series is a love story and there is nothing I like better than a good love story. Troy bought me book 1 and book 2 on Thursday and let me just say......he is heading to the store tonight to pick up book 3 and book 4. I am completely hooked and can't get enough of this story. While I can't wait to find out what happens next, I am already dreading the story ending. It actually makes me sad. It is one of those books that will make you laugh out loud one minute and cry like your heart is breaking another. I am not afraid to cry over a good book. Troy just rolls his eyes and very smartly keeps his mouth zipped. :)

If anyone is looking for a good read, I highly recommend these books. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Random Ramblings....

I am sorry that I have not been around to post much. I have been busy busy with orders (thanks everyone....my Etsy shop sale was a big success), back to school shopping and home improvement junk. School starts very soon and I am not ashamed to say that I am READY! My kids are just as ready. They claim there is absolutely NOTHING to do around here and hearing "I am bored" is getting really old.

Anyway, I do have lots of new camera straps in the works. I am trying to get caught up on orders so that I can get to making those. I have been hoarding lots of new fabrics just waiting for me to cut into for new projects.

My design group on eBay, StudioE, is gearing up for a launch that will start with week featuring Erin McMorris' Park Slope line. I will have a new design plus I will re-list a few faves. That starts on August 21 so be sure and search StudioE on eBay to sell of the great stuff!

I am also working on some new camera accessory items that hopefully I will debut in the next week or so. Keep an eye out for that!

BATS and More Etsy Goodies

Did that get your attention? We recently went to Austin to visit some very good friends of ours and each night, in downtown Austin, people come from everywhere to watch the bats fly at dusk. It is quite amazing. There are around 1.5 MILLION (yep, MILLION) bats that fly out every single night from under this bridge. It is one thing that Austin is well known for. We took the kids to see and they thought it was sooooo cool (Troy and I agree). There were TONS of people there and I can't believe how many bats there were. It seemed like the stream of bats was never ending (I guess it kind of would be with 1.5 MILLION flying huh??). If you want to learn more about it, you can check it out here. They even have an ice hockey team named the Ice Bats. Forgive the pics.....they were taken with my iPhone and the lighting wasn't the best.

Welp, that sold quick!

We are back!! New eBay Listing

Well, we are back from our trip. It was a lot of fun but too short. It was so great visiting with my girlfriend Sarah and my godchild, Kaiman. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We took the kids to Sea World and MAN WAS IT HOOOOOTTTTTTTTT! 102 degrees. Thank goodness San Antonio doesn't have the humidity we do down here. Even with the heat, we had a great time.

Now I am back and ready to get back to work. Thanks to all who have placed orders while we were gone and who are patiently awaiting their Priddy Creations goodies.
