5 Little Blessings

With everything that has been going on this week with my grandma passing, it was nice to have a quiet Thanksgiving and enjoy the many blessings in my life. My grandma was one of the best ladies I knew and although I will miss her terribly, it made me doubly thankful for all of the blessings I still have in my life. We enjoyed Thanksgiving at my inlaws' house and were able to finally get some visiting time with Troy's sister and her family. We only see them a few times a year so it is always a treat when they come down for a week for Thanksgiving. The kids LOVE playing with their cousins and this year was no exception. It has become a tradition to try and get a group shot of all five kids for my mother-in-law's Christmas cards. It is much easier now that they are getting older. It still took FOREVER to get them all looking and smiling at the camera but at least we have outgrown the crying fits. LOL! This one is my favorite although the girls' hair was looking a little messy by now (you can click on it to make it larger). The kids were really good sports and we had a great time!!

Hope everyone else had a fantastic Thanksgiving!!

A Beautiful Angel in Heaven

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that my grandmother has lost her battle with cancer. I am thankful that our family was able to be with her til the end. She is one of the most amazing women I have ever known and she will be missed terribly. We were all blessed to have her in our lives. Her passing is bittersweet because although we did not want to let her go, she is no longer suffering and in a much better place. God is good. I wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for me and my family. It is greatly appreciated.

Shootsac Deluxe Shooters Kit, Basic Black Neoprene Lens Bag plus interchangeable Baroque Cover

Shootsac Deluxe Shooters Kit, Basic Black Neoprene Lens Bag plus interchangeable Baroque Cover
I bought this a few months ago, tried it out once for an hour and decided that it wasn't what I was looking for. It is brand new. I paid over $200 for it which included shipping. I am asking $175 shipped for it. If you are interested, please email me directly at amy.priddy@att.net. Here are the specs:

Description
The Basic Shootsac is designed to be WORN comfortably like an article of clothing WHILE you shoot. Use your "traditional" camera bag to transport your gear - load up your Shootsac for active shooting. With 3 easy access lens pockets and 3 safety snap pockets this revolutionary lens bag will change the way you shoot. Keep your favorite lenses, compact flash cards, batteries, cell phone and other shooting necessities within arms reach instead of in your gear bag. The bag is made of wetsuit grade neoprene which gently wraps your lenses in individual protective pockets, keeping them safe from scratches and bumps while also conforming to your body. The patent pending body hugging design helps to ergonomically distribute the weight making the Shootsac comfortable enough to work in. The bag itself is low profile and non-obtrusive. It doesn't add bulk to your body, weigh you down or scream "camera equipment." The Deluxe Shootsac kit includes all the great functionality of the BASIC Shootsac PLUS an extra splash of FASHION. Chose from one of 9 best selling TRUE COLOR COVERS to quickly and easily match your outfit, your mood or your assignment. Remove the standard black Shootsac cover and add a True Color Cover. These fashionable covers are made of high-quality couture fabric lined with lent free, micro-fiber lens cleaning cloth. Now it's as easy and convenient to change the look of your bag as it is to change your lenses.
Features

Expandable shoulder strap to fit any size torso comfortably.
3 One-handed Easy Access Lens pockets - designed for active shooters
3 Front pockets have elastic extenders to accommodate even your widest angle, prime lens, or lens shades.
3 Rear pockets are large enough to hold lenses but also feature safety snaps to secure smaller items.
3 ml wetsuit-grade neoprene divided into individual lens pockets to protect yourglass even without caps.
Detachable front cover for even easier access to your lenses.
O ring for attaching car keys and hooked accessories
Holds: 3 Lenses for easy access while shooting (including the 70-200 2.8 mm) - Flash - Extra Batteries - Battery Packs - Compact Flash Cards - Cell Phone - Business Cards - Personal Items

Win a Removable Camera Strap!!

I purchased this BEAUTIFUL fabric a while back with the hopes of making and SELLING goodies made out of it (i.e., custom removable camera strap). Well.......evidently the particular fabric I purchased is trademarked and cannot be made into anything and SOLD for a profit. OOPS! I seriously had no idea. This particular VB fabric is not even supposed to be available or sold by the yard. I had NO IDEA!! So, there I went with my happy self and listed a few straps made with some scraps I had leftover. The fabric is beautiful and I was soooo excited to get these limited editions listed. However, those plans have changed. I CANNOT sell them. :( But, I can give one away! :)

Sooooo, my OOPS is your gain!! This strap measures 20.5 inches long and is 2.25 inches wide. A tad shorter than my standard straps but will still be a beautiful accessory on your camera. Best thing about it.....YOU CAN'T PURCHASE THEM ANYWHERE! :)

What you need to do to enter to win:

1. Take a peek at my Etsy shop and find an item you like; and

2. Leave me a comment with a link to this item and tell me why you like it.

Want to earn an extra entry??? All you have to do is post about the give-away on your blog, twitter, facebook, etc..... and leave another comment on my blog with the link to where your post is. That will get you another entry. I am closing this contest on Monday, November 24th at midnight. I will pick a winner by random number generator sometime on Tuesday.

Good luck!!

New Email and a School Project

OMGoodness....changing your email address is a PAIN IN THE YOU KNOW WHAT! I knew it was going to be a headache, but didn't realize that it was going to be THAT big of a pain. It is done though. I just hope that my new email notification went out to the 1300 people in my address book. I am sure that LOTS of those people were probably like "Who is this?" since my email program will save every email address that you just reply to one time. Poor people. I am apologizing in advance if you could care less about my new email. But for those that DO care (all 4 of you), my new email is:

amy.priddy@att.net

Please make a note in your address book!

On a good note, we finally got satellite today! WOO HOO!! I am sooooo excited to have DVR. I finally feel like I am in the present. Hehe. Now I just need to figure it all out.

And last, but certainly not least.......Ethan's most recent school project. With Thanksgiving coming, Ethan came home with a picture of a turkey. The assignment was to disguise the turkey by making him something different. When I asked Ethan what he wanted to disguise his turkey as he said "_______ ________." We decided to tear apart paper and layer it on in paper mache format (but not all smoothed out). I think it turned out pretty dang cute. Do yall know what it is??? Leave me a comment with your guess and I will do a random generator to pick a winner to receive a $5 gift certificate good towards any purchase made from my Etsy store. I will pick on Friday.

Teacher Survival Kit - A MUST Have

I am blessed to have so many wonderful, and extremely talented and creative people in my life. Becky is one friend that is at the TOP of that list. This lady is one of the most creative people I know. She makes wonderfully detailed pieces out of polymer clay. If you have never seen any of Becky's work, you will thank me after you click on this link.

I digress though.... I really wanted to talk more specifically about something I just bought for my kids' teachers. Not only is she extremely talented with clay, but she also has fantastic non-clay gifts that are MUST haves. These super inexpensive little treats are a great way to brighten someone's day. The ones that I bought are specifically geared towards teachers but she pretty much has Survival Kits for every situation, job, occasion, etc....... It is just a little something I order every year for my kids' teachers to let them know how much they are appreciated. I usually give them to the teachers when I know it is a kind of hectic and challenging time for them during the year. I highly recommend checking them out!! For those looking for the teacher ones (like the one pictured above), you can find them here.

Happy shopping!

Hee-Haw and Some New Goodies

For my whole 4 followers, here is a peek at a custom I just finished for a new customer. I am absolutely in love with these fabrics. She wanted a camera bag with coordinating lens cozy and camera strap. I am extremely happy with how everything turned out. A good friend of mine just had a little girl so I am thinking that something similar would make a GREAT diaper bag. The details are spinning in my head. I will be listing this in my store but have not decided if I want to list this particular one or make a smaller one with different fabrics. Now is the time to share your input (all 4 of you) as to what you would want to see. Any fabrics you are absolutely in love with, what size bag would you be interested in, etc.... Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts.

Also, to go with the "Hee-Haw" part of my blog post title, check this out..... We headed over to my parents house and look what we found! Two donkeys. WTH?? Who lets their donkeys just mosey around the neighborhood? Granted my parents live in a neighborhood that is acreage lots (generally 5-6 acres) and lots of people have farm animals but generally they are pinned. Just cracks me up what you can find in their neighborhood. Deer.....yes, makes sense. Donkeys......I don't know! LOL! Thankfully I had my trusty iPhone with me so that yall would actually believe my story. :)

Baylee trying to feed them.

They are pretty cute though.

The cheesy smile. LOL!

Mollee loves dressing up!

On Friday, the kids dressed up as Scarecrows for Scarecrow Day at school. This fabulous dress was made by Kristen of gocksfrocks and Mollee wore it for Scarecrow Day! She loves it!! Thanks Kristen!

Hope everyone has a fabulous week! Off to work for me. :)

Happy Halloween!!

We had a great Halloween! The kids were very excited this year because last year, Baylee and Ethan were sick and didn't get to go. Baylee was Sharpay from HSM 3, Mollee was Hannah Montanna and Ethan was Optimus Prime (Transformers). Of course we got way too much candy but the kids are making a real go of it when it comes to eating it.

The trick-or-treaters right before heading out.

My little Transformer.

Paw-Paw gave him a dollar. That works. :)

Sweet Mollee (I mean Hannah).

My sister also decided to dress up her Pit Bull, D'Bo and take him trick-or-treating with us. He did really good. He is such a sweet dog. Just like a toddler. Wants to do nothing but play!

My sister dressed up too as a corrections officer.

My monkeys, D'Bo and my godchild, Alex.

Trick-or-Treat, Smell my Feet.....

Action shot. Mollee and Ethan ran up to every single house. Baylee took her time. They were pooped out after only two streets! LOL!

Hope everyone got lots of goodies! :)
