Kitchen Aid Mixer Cover - Happy Birthday Mom!!

So, instead of working on new goodies for the Etsy launch I am participating in, I have been sewing for both my Mom's birthday and my mother-in-law's birthday (they are a day apart). Mom has been begging me to make her mixer cover (we are ALL tired of seeing her mixer covered with a blue towel). Jackie, my mother-in-law, picked out some fabrics for me to make her a bag. I love how both turned out.

Debbie and Gail.....if you are reading, PLEASE don't tell mom that I have pictures of her birthday present on my blog. :) She knows I made her something but she doesn't know what exactly it looks like.

Anyway, here are the goods.......

Now you see it.....

Now you don't.... And get this.....

It is reversible! :) Two covers in one. So mom (when you do get around to reading this post), NO MORE BLUE TOWELS!! :)

Sneak of Jackie's bag. You will probably see a smaller version of this particular bag listed soon on Etsy and even possibly one with the new Farmer's Market fabric for my Etsy launch.

It will not last long so if you have been wanting one, go buy it in my Etsy shop here!

I have also added some other favorites. You can see them all here!

Lots of Strap Choices - New Etsy Listings

I have just added two new custom camera strap listings to my Etsy shop. Lots of fabric choices for you to choose from for a new camera strap. I will continue to add custom listings as my get my fabrics photographed and organized. To give everyone a wide array of choices, this is how my camera pricing will break down:

Custom Straps with a Selection of Fabric Choices: $19.99. These are custom straps where you can pick from a selection of prints and the camera strap size will be customized to fit your particular camera.

Custom Straps with Custom Ordered Fabrics: $21.99. These are straps where you have a particular fabric in mind and it is not something I have in stock. I will custom order the fabric and custom make it the size of your choice.

Reversible Camera Straps: $24.99. These are straps where you are able to pick TWO fabrics for a reversible strap. These straps will be custom sized to fit your camera.

Patchwork Straps: $26.99. These are straps where you can pick up to 4 different fabrics to make a patchwork strap. These straps will be custom sized to fit your camera.

I will continue to offer a custom listing for $19.99 where you can order past designs (of in stock fabrics) and have them custom sized to fit your particular camera. I am trying to keep the options broad and give people plenty to choose from. If anyone has any suggestions or would like to see something in particular, please shoot me an email or leave me a comment. I love hearing from customers and a lot of what I have come up has been due to feedback from my wonderful customers.

Now to the new listings........

A listing of fabrics in the blue colorway. You can find that here.

I have FINALLY got some more of the blue and green damask print and am excited to offer this listing. You can find the damask listing here.

Silly Girls!

So Mollee comes running into the office with a new hat. Of course, Baylee could not be outdone so she jumped at the chance to be silly and get in on the action. Can yall tell what the new hat really is? Leave me a comment and take a guess.

And I can't forget about my littlest girl. Isn't she sweet. This is where she hangs out with me when I have to work on the computer. She is such a little princess and spoiled rotten. And it isn't my fault. Troy is the W-O-R-S-T about spoiling her. She is a sweetie though.

Update on our little kitten, Scat. He is doing great! He went to the vet yesterday and was the perfect little gentlemen. He behaved and didn't even cry while the doc checked him out. The vet estimates him to be around 8-10 weeks old and said he is a healthly little guy. His little cut was actually a grub worm. I was like "a what??" Evidently it is a common thing because there was another kitten there at the same time that had the same issue. The unwanted grub has been removed and we have to put some medicine on it and give him antibiotics. I will share some pics soon.

Look What I Got!!

I am in love. I am in heaven. I am so dang excited to finally get the new iPhone. I had to wait almost two weeks for it to come in and I think I was going to drive Troy and Mandy crazy with my obsessing. Seriously....I think they were just as happy for me to get it as I was. :) I am a gadget girl and am loving this phone so far. It is a slipperly little sucker though. Can't wait to get my new Vest for it. I let Baylee pick it out and I really like it as well. Troy, ever the skeptic, had a hard time putting it down. I had to keep reminding him whose it was. :)

Done! Thank goodness!!

The garage sale is finally DONE! Are yall tired of hearing about it? I am tired of thinking about it, getting ready for it AND talking about it! LOL! This will be the last post about it (I know you are cheering). I will say....garage sales themselves are a lot of fun. We met lots of neighbors and some other interesting garage sale-ers. It was an interesting weekend. However, I will NOT be doing it again for at least 5 years. Overall, it paid off and we did well. But I am soooo glad that it is done and I can park in my garage again. Sea World........ here we come!!

Oh! And in the midst of it all, a kitten ended up in my garage. The poor thing looks pathetic. It is really skinny and had a cut on its little head that is healing. I have no idea what happened to it. Baylee was able to coax it out and was able to pet it. The girls fixed it up some milk and food so I guess that means we have another pet. This is our 4th cat that has adopted us since we have lived here. We are calling it Scat. I can't turn it away though. It is just a baby and I really want to fatten it up at least. I will post a picture of him/her soon!

Thanks Mom!!

Mom did a little shopping for me to go with the new office decor. I am FINALLY getting around to putting it up and getting pics in the other frames I purchased. It has really come together. I finally got the floor lamp painted and just need a little bit more wall art, a few boxes covered and some liners made for a basket. I will be sure and post updated pics once I get it completely done. Thanks Mom!! The frame matches perfect!

Project Runway Premieres TONIGHT!!

I C-A-N-N-O-T wait! Who else is watching?

Funny of the Day

A wife was making a breakfast of fried eggs for her husband. Suddenly, her husband burst into the kitchen.

'Careful,' he said, 'CAREFUL! Put in some more butter! Oh my gosh!

You're cooking too many at once. TOO MANY! Turn them! TURN THEM NOW! We need more butter. Oh my gosh!

WHERE are we going to get MORE BUTTER? They're going to STICK! Careful. CAREFUL! I said be CAREFUL! You NEVER listen to me when you're cooking! Never!

Turn them! Hurry up! Are you CRAZY? Have you LOST your mind?

Don't forget to salt them. You know you always forget to salt them. Use the salt. USE THE SALT! THE SALT!

The wife stared at him. What in the world is wrong with you? You think I don't know how to fry a couple of eggs?'

The husband calmly replied, 'I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm driving.'

Tower Power

With a little help from daddy, Mollee and Ethan built this super high tower. Can you tell how proud they are? It didn't last long but it was long enough to make those sweet eyes turn really bright with excitement.

Another favorite past-time.....at least for Troy and Ethan is the Nintendo DS. If I let this boy play it all day, he would. That or the Sony Playstation. It still amazes me how at 5, he can figure these game systems out. I don't even know how these work. Another little tidbit about the Nintendos (for thos considering purchasing them) is that they are extremely durable. Even when left in the rain. Yep. Ethan took his DS outside (a BIG no-no). It took us a few days to find it and in the meantime, it rained. Thank goodness it still worked. Whew. All three of the kids' DS systems are safetly tucked away out of reach. They now have to "check them out" if they want to use them. Games and all. Uh huh. Mean mama here. I really need to send Nintendo an email and give them a round of applause for their quality craftsmanship.

Look how blonde his hair is getting around his temple! Isn't that weird?????

New Custom Camera Strap Listing plus a Fave

I am trying to get myself together to offer more custom listings for my camera straps. However, I have TONS of fabrics and am having a hard time finding the time to get all of my fabric photographed. I do plan on offering custom straps with the new lines as I get them in. Here is the first listing from the Park Slope line. I will be adding Ginger Blossom and the new Farmer's Market very soon!

And lookey lookey what I was able to get my hands on! Yep, another yard of the Vera Bradley strap. I will only be able to make a few more of these so if you love it, buy it! LOL! You can find that here.

Also, the servers containing my graphics/files seems to be fixed. However, it may look a little weird on my website. They are still working out the kinks for some of the OSCommerce sites. Thanks for your continued patience!!

Happy Shopping!!

Server Problems

Just a quick note to let you all know that the server I use for all of my pictures, files, etc.... is down right now. So if you check out my blog, website and/or auctions and see nothing but blank space or get an error message, you will understand why. They are working on the issue but I have no idea how long that will take. Thanks for your understanding.

Happy 4th of July!!

We kicked off our weekend with parent day at swim lessons! The kids did great and really enjoyed themselves. Click on the pics to make them larger.

Check out the facial expressions. I was cracking up.

Now Mollee......this girl is much more focused. She takes things much for seriously and really concentrates on things. She did have a good time though! :)

Did everyone have a good 4th? We had a great one! I was supposed to be working on garage sale stuff but was pleasantly surprised to find out one of my very good friends was in for the weekend meeting her brand new nephew. Instead of working like a dog, Sarah stayed with us and I was able to have a nice and relaxing visit with her this weekend. It was so great to catch up with her. We did work a little (thanks Sarah for all the help) but for the most part we just relaxed, swam and slept in. It was great!

Now it is time to get back to the grind. Tomorrow is going to be a VERY busy day. For now, I am off to watch Design Star and fold laundry. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Designer Spotlight - Clayful Creations by Becky

This WONDERFUL lady is really who kick-started my obsession and passion for polymer clay beads. When I first met Becky, she was only making collectibles. The details were so amazing that I emailed her and asked her if she could make these in "bead" sizes. My very first purchase from her was a patriotic butterfly complete with wire antennas and amazing details. From that day on, I was HOOKED. Over the years I have made many purchases from Becky. Too many beads to even count and lots of collectibles for myself and for gifts. All of my kids have Becky ornaments and all of my kids' teachers have received at least one collectible made by Becky. You can find her in two places......Etsy and on eBay. If you are familiar with Becky's work, you what know I'm talking about. If you have yet to own anything made by Becky, you are really missing out on something amazing. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Some of my all time favorite things from Becky are:

Her calendar girls. I really need to complete my set. She makes these fantastic little ladies for each month of the year. I am a huge fan of whimsy and whimsical is one word I would use to describe Becky's polymer clay masterpieces.

Another favorite is this little guy. I was having a bad week and next thing I know.......this little guy arrived in my mailbox. Isn't he great?? A must have for any office space or craft room (which is where ALL of my Clayful Creations reside).

Here are just a few of her wonderful beads. All are perfection! These are some of the beads that I never got to use while making jewelry. But one good thing is that they will be up on auction for someone else to enjoy and create with.

One more little tid bit about Becky....when her items reach your doorstep, you will be just as blown away by her packaging as you are of the contents. Very professional and she goes through a lot of effort to make sure that your package reaches you safely and in perfect condition.
Thanks Becky for the many years of fabulous items. I am looking forward to ordering lots more!!
