Party Pics

Finally getting around to editing the pics from Baylee's party! It was a lot of fun. We had a thief among us! Miss M (see pics below) decided that she didn't want to wait until Baylee's party was called to the party room to enjoy some ice cream. So she just helped herself to another little girl's party ice cream. LOL!!

Daddy, Nannie (my sister Stacy) and Baylee.

Opening gifts (I have lots more of these but figured one would be enough).

The party-goers.

Doing the hokey pokey.

Our resident thief. Miss M enjoying her goods! YUM!!

Silly girl!

Mollee loves her some ice cream too!

And we can't forget Ethan!! He and G-Man enjoyed theirs as well.

Maw-Maw and Pop!

Thanks for letting me share!!

School Stuff

This week has been jam packed with school related activities. I think all the schools got together and decided they wanted to see how nuts they could make it. LOL! Anyway, to hit a few highlights, the kids had open house and all are doing fantastic (proud mama here!).

Also, Baylee entered a pumpkin contest at school and WON!! We did Oscar the Grouch and entered him in the Storybook Character category. It was a real family project as even my sister helped out with it!! She did the painting of his face (with Baylee's help). Ethan and I did the "worms" hanging out of the trash can and the girls helped me put on the eyebrows.

Another highlight is "Red Ribbon Week." Basically it is the school's "Say No To Drugs" campaign and the kids get to dress/do something fun for every day that week (i.e., funniest hat day, slipper day, camoflauge day, wacky hair day, etc....). Below is a picture of Baylee sporting her WACKY hair! Man, it was soooooo much fun fixing her hair!! The funny thing was that when she drove up to school, none of the teachers had wacky hair. She was a tad nervous that she got the wrong day! LOL!

Even with wacky hair she is still cute as a button.

Tomorrow is Scarecrow Day for the two little ones. I will share pics of that soon. And I still have pics to upload from Baylee's party! We had a thief among us! LOL! Erin, I will get to those tomorrow. PROMISE!

Have a happy weekend!

Busy, busy weekend. Whew.

It has been another busy weekend at the Priddy household. Two out three kids have been sick. UGH. Winter is going to STINK! Thankfully, Saturday they were pretty much back to normal because that was Baylee's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAYLEE!! I can't believe my baby is 9!

Although I didn't wanna, I had to do a little work in the morning so that we could take the kids to see High School Musical 3 in the afternoon. I have yet to see 1 and 2 so I was worried that I would miss something. I shouldn't have worried. It wasn't one of those movies where you have to see the first movies to understand. Whew. It was actually really cute. Even Ethan liked it.

Troy took Baylee and the kids out to Crazy Jose's for dinner (aka Crazy Ho-Hays if you ask Mollee). We always let the kids pick a place to eat on their birthdays. Baylee was SUPER excited that they sang her Happy Birthday and gave her ice cream.

Instead of dinner with the monkeys, I went with mom to a candlelight vigil for my dad who was attending an A.C.T.S. retreat. It was a first for me and it was a nice experience. The men did not know there was going to be a vigil in their honor and were pleasantly surprised. They were also surprised with letters to them from friends and loved ones. Overall, my dad said it was an eye-opening and meaningful experience.

We started off our Sunday with the "coming home" at church for the A.C.T.S. participants and a short reception after church which included some goodies. After that, we hauled booty (that is the word we TRY and use in front of the kids) home after that to change clothes and head out to the skating rink for Baylee's birthday party. That was a lot of fun! Wanna know why?????? Because I gave them money and they did EVERYTHING. Yes, EVERYTHING. We don't even have to bring a cake or anything. How nice is that?? And I get to bring my kids home exhausted. LOL!

Overall, it was nuts. But a good nuts. I am glad that it is over though. I think I need a day to re-coop. However, I don't see that happening since our upcoming week looks to be just as busy.

I promise to share some birthday pics over the next few days. How was everyone else' weekend?

A Week in Review

More like a aweek and a half. It has been a busy two weeks for us. The kids have had a lot of school activities, birthdays, snake findings, the list goes on and on. Ethan's class had a field trip to the fire station and the kids had a lot of fun touring the facility. I wonder how many boys wanted to be firemen by the time they all left? Mollee also had her first music program. She did so good! Here are a few pics from our activities.

Picture of my beautiful Baylee. I can't believe she will be 9 soon.

Baylee and her friend Kelcie (aka as the snake finder - see below)

Ethan and his class at the fire station.

My little fireman.

Mollee at your program.

And the garter snake that Kelcie found. Ethan comes running in the house telling me (and acting it all out as he is telling it) that the snake snapped at Smokey (our neighbors cat) and bit it. We head outside to check it out and Kelcie has the snake on a stick (insert rolling eyes). Don't these kids know NOT to mess with snakes? LOL! Anyway....my sister was there and she said that she heard an old wives tale that if you burn a snake on your property, you won't have a problem with snakes any more. So we head to the backyard to burn it. Whether or not it burned, I have no idea. It slithered away into the branch pile and I have no idea what happened to it. A part of me almost felt bad about doing that. Almost. Not a fan of snakes.

Did the pics make you shudder? They do me!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

WARNING: Long Post. Ramblings About This and That

Well, lots of stuff to catch up on. I really should break this post up into several posts but I am scared that if I don't do it now, it may not get done. Ever have those days/weeks?

We went to 4 different places today to find us a football jersey. The kids will be running through the tunnel and singing the fight song at our football game tomorrow night and I decided Ethan needed a jersey. Nothing like waiting til the day before. I don't know why I do that to myself. Well, I did not find one. CORRECTION....found one but when I was walking to the cash register I realized it had a tear. And it was the only one they had. Figures. Teaches me. Lesson of the day....don't wait til the last minute.

The design group I am part of is having a launch starting today with a Toyland theme! Below is my contribution. I am NOT happy with the pictures at all. But they will have to do. :( The tote is very cute and comes with a removable flower pin for that extra girlish accessory! You can find my tote here. To find everyone's goodies, you can search StudioE or click here.

Mollee's party was a lot of fun and pretty stress-free. No drama, no tears, not fighting. Just the way I like things. There were a total of 5 girls (including mine) and that was the perfect number. No one felt left out and everyone got along.

The birthday girl with her little girlfriends about to blow out her candles.

The goody bags. We did a Hannah Montanna theme.

Singing on the PSP2 Sing Star (Eye of the Tiger). LMAO! That was soooo funny watching them do that.

The cake. Nope, did not bake this. I do love to bake but anything with icing I leave to my girlfriend Erin. This was actually a Wal-Mart cake and was really good. Chocolate cake with whipped icing.

Miss M dancing away. She was having a great time!

ADDITION: Sweet Mary pointed out that while Twittering I talked about my little makeover at the hands of the girls. They wanted to use real make-up, but since we were heading to church later that morning, I told them it would have to be pretend. The girls had a great time painting my toes and fixing my hair. Mollee likes to see how may clips and rubberbands she can put in my hair all at once. LOL! Don't look for a picture though.....I didn't take one!! Thanks Mary for the reminder! It was definitely a fun part of the party. :)

INSURANCE UPDATE (I put this last for those that really don't want to hear/read it): FINALLY talked to "the" people and found out we are good to go! So, we should be getting some stuff repaired next week. YAY! Persistence paid off. :D

Ok, I think I am done. I do have more stuff to post about but the pics to go with them are not edited yet. Lucky yall! Stay tuned.......

Frustrated & Should Be Sewing

Why you ask? Because the dang insurance company keeps blowing us off. Our damage assessment adjustor came out over two weeks ago and we were told it shoudl take 10-14 days to hear from the adjustor regarding our damage and claim. Well, more than two weeks later and I still have not even had a phone call from our adjustor. I have called several times and I don't even know IF we even have an adjustor. Come on people! I realize that you have other people that also has claims, but if you just work your way down the list in order of claims placed, it shouldn't be that hard. We were claim #5 according to our damage assessment adjustor so I just don't get the hold up. Some of our repairs can wait but I don't like having no back fence when it backs up to a busy street with two dogs and three kids. I have decided that I will call them twice a day until I get some answers. I hate being pushy but I hate being blown off even more. So, instead of sewing like I should be doing, I am sitting here posting, listening to "Dangerous" by Kardinal Offshall on iTunes and obsessing about the dang insurance. Ok, done. I am trying to keep my twitching finger from dialing them again. Ooooh, better plan. I will call Troy and have him do it. Then if nothing, I will call them AGAIN this afternoon. Thanks for letting me rant.

UPDATE: Troy didn't answer so I called again. :) This time I at least got the name and extension to our adjust. Called him and left a very detailed, but nice, voicemail asking for a return call. Keep your fingers crossed that he calls me back SOON!

New Toy

Happy Birthday to Me! Happy Birthday to Me......... Well, my birthday was actually this past Monday (the 29th) but I am dragging it out since I have not actually had a chance to use my new toy. I am sooooo excited to get this new coverstitch machine. I really would like to work more with knits and am so excited to have this machine to work with. My first project.....a shirt for Ethan. I am a tad nervous as my knowledge and experience with knits are practically nil. We will see how it goes. Knits....here I come!!

As for birthday celebrations...my sweet Mollee turns 7 today. We will be officially celebrating with a slumber party over the weekend so stay tuned on those details. I promise to share some pics.

Can I Just Say F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S

I came across Kori's shop by total accident and fell in love instantly. I love monogramming and personalizing so I decided I NEEDED some "AMY" letters for my office. I sent her a few pics of the office re-do and this is what she came up with. This is just a sneak peek. I have not got these in my hot little hands yet. But if they are even just half as fabulous in person as they are in the pictures, I will be doing a little jig. Kori has a true talent so if you have never visited her shop, I HIGHLY recommend it. Tell her I sent ya!

Thanks Kori!! Can't wait to see these in person! :) Next will be some for the kids' rooms.

Howdy, Hi, Hello!! (WARNING: Pity Party)

I was hoping that I would have some new stuff listed or at least pictures to share of new stuff. But, with everything going on around here, I just have not had the time to sew like I wanted to. I do have a few new camera straps done (thanks Mary for the awesome fabric!!), but have yet had time to take the pics. I have cut out a bag for a sweet customer that I am determined to ship by Friday. She has been so patient and understanding with the craziness in my life. I am really itching to participate in my group's upcoming launch (super cute theme.....stay tuned) but the way it is looking, I may have to skip this one. Are yall tired of hearing me whine yet? Anyway, hopefully next week will be a little more creatively productive. Oh! And if that wasn't enough, Mollee is having a slumber party this weekend for her birthday. So we have that to get ready for too!! YAY for me! I still can't believe my little girl is going to be 7! She is super excited. Anyway, I am going to wind down this post. I promise that my next post won't be such a downer. Thanks for hanging in there if you made it this far.

Done whining,
Amy
